VolkerHighways appoints new Project Director

VolkerHighways is pleased to announce that Philip Bridge has joined the company as Project Director.

Phil's role will principally be to work with bid teams and VolkerHighways joint venture (JV) partners. Phil will also work with VolkerHighways operations teams to look at ways of driving forward service delivery and performance.

Phil is a chartered civil engineer, member of the Institution of Civil Engineers and fellow of the Chartered Institution of Highways and Transportation with over 35 years experience in the highways sector. For the last 20 plus years Phil has fulfilled various senior management roles in highways maintenance organisations in both the public and private sector, including spells with North Yorkshire County Council, Oxfordshire County Council, Accord, Enterprise and Atkins.

Phil also has an extensive network of contacts in the wider highways sector through his role as an active committee member of the Chartered Institution of Highways and Transportation, the National Highways and Transport Network and through his involvement with the Highways Term Maintenance Association, the Association for Consultancy and Engineering, the Highways Efficiency Liaison Group and the Highways Maintenance Efficiency Programme.
