VolkerHighways supports the ‘Love Luton’ campaign

Love Luton is a campaign that was launched to support Luton's bid for city status plus the promotion of the many benefits that the town has to offer.  These include economic growth, good transport links and diversity of population.

VolkerHighways sponsored the campaign through a donation of £10,000, helping to fund community events within the town, including the Love Luton Festival that was held to coincide with the visit of the Olympic Torch relay. VolkerHighways has maintained and improved the highways in Luton for the last 15 years, building strong relationships with local businesses and residents.

As a key supplier within the area, we are passionate about what we do to assist the town's unrivalled transport infrastructure and are fully committed to working with Luton and its people to drive forward its vision for regeneration, growth and prosperity.

VolkerHighways also attended the Luton's Best Awards, to recognise the unsung heroes and achievers within the town. Managing Director, Peter Hyde presented the Lifetime Achievement Award to local resident Ken Hone for his work within Luton. Peter comments: "It's important to support and engage with the communities we work in. VolkerHighways is proud to sponsor Love Luton and help promote the great activities and people within the area."
